This is a commercial that touched my Heart. I have been in the rural county of Sussex, New Jersey since June, and I am leaving tomorrow. As I child , I spent my summers here. While I lived in the old industrial city of Jersey City during the school year, I came to Susses, to Lake Wallkill, as soon as school ended. It was here that I came to understand what some of being a Farmer was all about. I secretly idolized kids from the Cosh family Farm, and the white haired Dutch kids, one of whom was named Benny, (who I am told are still Dairy Farming in Canada now. How cold do you think it is at 4am up there when they get up to milk the cows.). These kids could drive trucks when they were like ten years old, tractors when they were eight. Sometimes they would let me hand around the Farm, and laugh when I would "joe" myself somehow. I once let a bail of hay pull me off the top of a wagon, which was stacked two stories high, and rode that bail head first , wedged between the barn and the hay wagon, head first all the way to the ground, the bail itself saving me from cracking my skull. I had tried to throw it into the barn opening on the high door, and missed, and forgot to let go.! Farms are a dangerous work environment. This is my tribute and message of ultimate respect for Famers everywhere! Without them we could not survive.
